Kris KeyZ Bio
Kris KeyZ is an American songwriter, producer, and entrepreneur who has written music for Philippine multi-platinum pop stars such as Julie Anne San Jose and Actress of the Year Lovi Poe, as well as artists like Loso Loaded, PnB Rock, Stella Santana, A Boogie, Ella Mai, and many others. Kris KeyZ has also collaborated with Grammy Award-winning producer Sidney “Omen” Brown, with their first release hitting #1 on the Philippines iTunes charts within the first hour. Another notable collaboration was with NBA Top 75 player Damian Lillard, aka D.A.M.E. Dolla, whose debut album peaked at #119 on the US Billboard 200 and rose to #2 on iTunes. Kris KeyZ produced the song “Baggage” featuring Adrian Marcel and the album included notable artists like Lil Wayne, Jamie Foxx, Raphael Saadiq, Juvenile, and Marsha Ambrosius. Over the years, Kris’s music has been featured and licensed on MTV, HBO, and OWN.
Playing piano is Kris’ first love. The city of Austin, Texas, awarded him a custom-painted piano and a proclamation from the Mayor declaring December 7th as Kris KeyZ Day. He has opened for national acts such as John Legend, Babyface, Boyz II Men, Melanie Fiona, Anthony Hamilton, Miguel, Lauryn Hill, Prince Royce, and many more. Each year, Kris performs at one of Austin, Texas’s signature venues or events, including the Zach Theatre, SXSW, ACL Festival, and Circuit of the Americas.
In late 2020, Kris KeyZ founded the ATX Music Academy (ATXMA), an online music academy and onramp designed to connect students with active musicians. Kris strongly believes that both kids and adults can pick up the arts and be successful.
Plush Posse Bio
Plush Posse is a band collective of young creators, producers, and musicians residing in Austin, Texas. The band was formed in 2023 by Kris KeyZ, who serves as the Music Director and Aux Keyboards player. Kris previously played in a band assembled for Houston, Texas rapper Trae Tha Truth. After a show, several people inquired about the band’s name, but at that time, it had none. Kris decided to curate a backing band for artists, which he named “Plush Posse.” The band consists of C.J., the bass player; Dorian, the drummer; Ivan “Daddy I” Wallace, the lead guitarist; and A.J., the main keyboards player.
Plush Posse performs for weddings, private parties, and corporate events. They also target up-and-coming acts and major touring artists seeking to elevate their stage performances. Instead of having artists sing along to pre-recorded tracks, Plush Posse reimagines their original music and creates a live musical experience they like to call “Modern Soul.”
