Celica Ledesma
Celica graduated with a BFA in Studio Art from Texas State University. Her art ranges from Oil Painting to Digital Works. When trying to master realistic figurative painting she places her subject matters in a creative space meeting between reality and introspection. Her desire for a world where her thoughts and emotions would be understood keeps her determined to create.
In High School, Celica Ledesma had two pieces make it to V.A.S.E. Regionals (2014) and she took First Place at the Texas Rodeo Art show (2014). In 2015-17 Celica did not only participate in art shows like “Pancakes and Booze” but had also voluntarily painted a 6ft x 12ft Multi-cultural Mural located at Texas State University, had three paintings win “Best in Show” in the Faces of America Exhibition in San Marcos TX, participated in “Estos Son Nuestros Papeles” Exhibition at Centro Cultural Hispano de San Marcos Museum. She also had a Duo show and Thesis show at TXST Galleries in 2020. In 2022 Ledesma was given the opportunity to have her very own Solo Show “Through Double Consciousness” at ArtUs Co Gallery in Austin, TX. Ledesma had also been published in The University Star, BON Magazine, Austin Voyage, GUD Magazine, and Glasstire.
